Step into the enchanting realm of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, a masterpiece of art and civilization nestled in the heart of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. On November 8, 2017, this cultural gem was unveiled with great ceremony by French President Emmanuel Macron, along with UAE Vice President Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi stands as the first universal museum in the Arab World, embodying the spirit of cultural openness. Positioned in the Saadiyat Cultural District, this cultural haven is a dream come true for art enthusiasts, showcasing a rich tapestry of works that span historical, cultural, and sociological significance—from ancient treasures to contemporary masterpieces. Renowned architect Jean Nouvel, a recipient of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, lent his genius to the design of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, creating an awe-inspiring space that spans 9,200 sq. m.

Within its walls, the Louvre Abu Dhabi boasts not only a Permanent Gallery but also a captivating Temporary Gallery. The latter is adorned with loans from esteemed French museums such as Musee du Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, and Centre Pompidou, enriching the tapestry of artistic expression on display.
